Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, born July 28, 1929, was a beloved American figure, best known as the First Lady of 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. Jackie was known throughout the world for her refined, classic style and her passion for cultivating the arts in and curating the historical collections in the United States.

Following JFK’s death in 1963, Jackie married Aristotle Onassis in 1968 and took on the moniker Jackie Kennedy Onassis. The former First Lady led a very private life, but contributed to the storied politics of the past and has become a figure studied for her fashion, education, and mission as First Lady. She is survived by her daughter, Caroline Kennedy, while her son, John Jr., passed away in 1999.
